sorry for the posting drought. i have one in the works but madagascar's been a little intense lately, not conducive to cyber time. in the meantime:

I am leaving tomorrow for many little excursions including one to the island of Nosy Be for some snorkling and coastal ecology and tourism learnings, but upon my return to Majunga my life landmark will be passed when i am featured in my host dad's music video. That host dad of mine is the guy who runs the tv and radio station but is also a minor celebrity. his music videos are on at least twice a day, and he has promised my friend marit and i that we will be featured in his first video in two years. this is an accomplishment beyond life. its nice to have him as a dad, actually, cause he's only 36 and very un-fatherly; most days he takes out his guitar and teaches me malagasy songs or we sing together the few english songs he know. unfortunately that entails a lot of unchained melody. its almost unbearable.
